  • 1/3 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 T butter (for dipping)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, then stir in apple cider and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice.
  4. In another bowl, mix sugar and egg into the cooled cider-butter mixture until combined.
  5. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Transfer batter to a greased donut pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for approximately 7 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched.
  8. Let cool briefly before dipping warm donuts in melted butter and rolling in cinnamon-sugar.
