  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast (cubed)
  • 1 medium white onion (diced)
  • 4 medium celery ribs (sliced)
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 medium jalapeño (minced)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans (drained)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and sauté cubed chicken until cooked through (5–7 minutes).
  2. Add diced onion, celery, bell pepper, and minced jalapeño. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and flour. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and great northern beans; bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream; cook until heated through (2–3 minutes). Serve hot.
