Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Set aside.
  2. Cook linguine in boiling salted water according to package directions until al dente; reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet used for chicken, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley; simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Toss cooked pasta in the butter sauce; add reserved pasta water gradually to adjust consistency. Fold in sliced chicken and mix well.
  5. Serve garnished with extra parsley.
