Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-pack) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup half and half or whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, for cooking
  • Powdered sugar and fresh fruit for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt until well combined.
  2. Poke holes in each roll using a toothpick to allow the custard to soak in without becoming soggy.
  3. Dip each roll into the custard mixture for about 30 seconds on all sides and set aside.
  4. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook the soaked rolls for 30-60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
