  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add onion and sauté until soft, then stir in garlic. Mix in marinara sauce and turkey bacon; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel: Melt butter in a saucepan; whisk in flour. Gradually add milk and cook until thickened. Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar in a baking dish until ingredients are used up. Top with Parmesan.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. Let rest before slicing.
