Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup + 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin pie puree
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk (any type)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for coating)
  • 1 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin spice.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, melted butter, and milk until smooth.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture gently until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into a greased donut pan, filling each cavity halfway.
  6. Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden brown—check with a toothpick for doneness.
  7. While cooling slightly, prepare the topping by melting butter in one bowl and mixing sugar and cinnamon in another.
  8. Once cooled enough to handle but still warm, dip each donut in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
