  • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks or 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the syrup by whisking together brown sugar, pumpkin puree, cinnamon (or pumpkin pie spice), and warm water in a small saucepan. Simmer on low for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Strain if desired for a smoother texture.
  3. In a sealable jar, combine one double shot of espresso with 1-2 tablespoons of your syrup and ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
