  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup dark cocoa
  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • black food coloring
  • 2 red hots

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the spice cake mix, pumpkin spice pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, water, and oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased bundt pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cake to cool for 20 minutes before transferring it to a plate. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the frosting by beating together softened cream cheese and butter until creamy. Gradually add dark cocoa powder and powdered sugar; mix well.
